You were once my brother.

I remember those days as they used to be,
when i remember my dreams are sweet.
Innocent we where in our dealings,
Yes i remember even when we used to play hide and seek.
Remember police and thief, Tanda for river,
 basket ball, snooker and things..
Young and wild careless and free,
Now am feeling like a lost bee.
Remember cuz how happy we where as a family,
oh those memories where precious.
Till religion came and divided us,
made us instead loyal to our different church,
And different mosque...
listening to their lies and the pastors touch.
Now apart we are and we claim we worship LOVE!
Memories I cannot stand still,
remember when it was all peaceful and sweet.
Yes you where once my brother,
Now we don't even bother.
sometimes i wish we could try.
Oh how we are in pieces.
Now we all on the run from standing strong,
Together we could have ruled the world,
Changed our clay into concrete slabs.
Now we only have broken hearths.
Yes we could have made it good,
we would have been swimming good.
Oh well all that's in the past,
we had the power to change the mood,
yes we could have made it last.
Maybe we still could.
It starts by respect me I respect you.
Shake my hand and we make it true.
Understanding and trust will then come into play,
slowly and surely all animosity will fade away.
So now lets get on our knees and pray,
That day shall come to stay someday.
Amen.
Itam...
